I’ll also check the expiry date on each alarm because, like any other safety device, they need to be replaced after a certain period.

Alarm Placement

The location of your CO alarm is just as important as the alarm itself. I’ll check to ensure it’s placed where it will be most effective—that means away from drafts that could dilute CO concentrations and at a height where it will most likely detect rising gas. If your alarm isn’t in the best spot, I’ll advise you on where to move it for better protection.

Education on Carbon Monoxide

Part of my service includes educating you on the risks of CO. I’ll talk to you about how CO is produced, the signs of poisoning to watch out for, and what to do if your alarm ever goes off. Knowing this information can make a real difference in an emergency situation.

Fire in time for Christmas
